Chip Bishop

The company president has 30+ years of experience in communications and project management. His many skills and hands-on approach are the basis for a "can-do" ethic that is goal-oriented, productive and creative.

Chip has a superb working knowledge of communications strategies and practices, supported by keen political instincts, extensive contacts and top-quality skills in written, oral and electronic communications.

Prior to founding Chip Bishop Communications in 1996, Chip was a senior executive with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) in Washington, DC. Between 1983-1996 he directed APTA's national government affairs program and executed high profile, public relations and communications programs.

Earlier, Chip managed congressional relations in Washington, DC for the Carter Administration's passenger rail programs. He also directed general election campaign travel for First Family, Vice President, Cabinet and White House staff during the 1980 presidential campaign.

Chip is passionate about Red Sox baseball, NPR, old German stamps, doo-wop music and preserving Cape Cod.
