WE HELP OUR CUSTOMERS PLAN AND EXECUTE COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIES.
Often, the goal is to "sell" an idea or advocate a public policy position. Other times,
we promote a customer's product or service though advertising, PR and community relations.
Sometimes we facilitate a board retreat for a non profit or help an organization focus
time and resources to accomplish a specific task.
We are often asked to write a brochure, publish a newsletter or design a new logo.
We are good at creating new web sites, and we enjoy turning jargon into everyday language
so real communication can occur. Here are some good examples:
Flex Bus - When the federal government decided to support the Cape Cod RTA's
Flex transit bus on the Lower/Outer Cape in 2006, we designed and executed a multi-media advertising
campaign, using newspapers, guidebooks, radio, TV and the Internet to build the new brand and
public awareness. Working closely with elected officials and other community leaders, we tuned the message
and targeted the audience. Result: record ridership on the bus and fewer cars on the road.
See www.TheFlex.org.
Smart Guide - Visitors to Cape Cod and year-round residents are always looking for
alternatives to traffic, and Smart Guide leads the way. We've partnered with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce for
ten years to publish a handbook of maps and a complimentary web-site. The result? People get connected with car-free
land, sea and air travel choices. Smart Guide is a long-running hit! www.SmartGuide.org
Chatham Chamber of Commerce - 2006 marked the 400th
anniversary of the visit of French Explorer Samuel de Champlain to what is now Chatham, Mass.
Complimenting the work of the town's Chamber of Commerce and historical society, we lent our
media savvy to a campaign that built attendance at a first class exhibit and many related events.
We gamed out a PR strategy with our design partner and contributed a classic logo as well.
Did we mention PSAs, cost-free radio and TV programs? Voila! What a party. www.ChathamCapeCod.org
Barnstable County Fair - We were brought on as the Fair's advertising
and PR agency three years ago, and got right to work updating the image and message of this Cape Cod institution. Working
closely with the Fair's Board and our design and production partners, we launched a new theme,
"Everyone's Going to the Fair" for radio and
TV. To help build attendance in 2008, we connected local entertainment writers with the Village People for great pre-Fair publicity. Y.M.C.A.!
Seasonal Health Insurance Program (SHIP) - It's sad but true. Thousands
of international workers who make the Cape Cod season run smoothly are without health insurance. At the request
of Cape Cod Healthcare and the Cape Cod Chamber, we developed and directed a well-targeted program
to raise employer and worker awareness of low-cost insurance coverage. Helped by town chambers,
we flooded the Cape with brochures, radio, TV, newspaper stories and op-eds. Jane Nichols Bishop
was the ever-present expert at workshops, after-hours gatherings and on the air.

Eldredge & Lumpkin Insurance of Chatham – When one of Cape Cod’s most respected family-run insurance agencies decided to upgrade its web site, it turned to Chip Bishop Communications. We organized a team of top graphic designers and web developers to produce a
dynamic and productive new site. Not only that, we helped the agency produce an informative quarterly e-newsletter that supplements a popular print edition.
